Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the privately operated Swift County Court Docket reference resource. They do not create access to Minnesota Judicial Branch records or alter the rules applied by the Swift County District Court.

1. What This Website Is

Swift County Court Docket is a private informational resource. It is not a court, government agency, clerk's office, or official record database. Official access to Swift County court records is governed by the Minnesota Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, including Rule 8 and its remote-access limits.

2. Informational Use Only

Content is supplied for general reference. It is not legal advice, a court notice, a certified copy, or a guarantee that a case, hearing, or fee remains current. Verify a court matter with the originating court or clerk.

3. Rules for Using This Site

Visitors may not misuse the service or its resources.

  • Violate applicable law while using the service
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk another person
  • Use information for a purpose restricted by law
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Run automated tools that burden the service
  • Interfere with another visitor's access

4. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Swift County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It may not be used for a purpose regulated by that law, including a credit, employment, tenant-screening, or insurance decision. Court entries and external results may be incomplete or outdated and must be verified with the court that maintains the record.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here explains how a rule applies to a specific person or case. Time-sensitive questions, filing decisions, and questions about a pending matter should be directed to the court, a licensed attorney, or another appropriate official resource.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Procedures, fees, contact details, court settings, and external tools can change. The service does not promise that content or a partner result is complete, accurate, secure, current, or continuously available.

  • Information may contain an error or become outdated
  • External services may be unavailable or change their output
  • Page access may be interrupted
  • Technical issues can occur

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links and widgets may connect visitors to independent services. Their content, pricing, availability, and privacy practices are controlled by those operators. Use of an outside service is subject to its own terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Site text, graphics, logos, and code are protected by applicable law. Except where a legal right permits use, content may not be copied, redistributed, modified, or used to create a derivative work without permission.

9. Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the service, an external link, or reliance on information that should have been verified with the court.

10. Indemnification

Visitors agree to defend and hold the operator harmless from claims or expenses arising from their misuse of the service or breach of these terms, including reasonable related legal costs where permitted by law.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Minnesota law. A dispute relating to use of the service is subject to the applicable laws and courts of Minnesota, unless a controlling law requires another forum.

12. Changes to These Terms

The terms may be revised when the service, applicable law, or outside providers change. A revised version becomes effective when posted.
